hello people,
turkey happens to to touch asia on one side and europe on the other whereas ukraine does the same between russia and europe. what does the unique geographical location signify? how does it mould the culture of the two nations as compared to nations that fall completely in one continent? also of the two which is more thoroughly europian?

What do you mean? of course ukraine is more european than turkey. Thats because Turkey isnt european, but Ukraine is 100% european.

Ukraine is 100% European, Turkey is something like 20% thanks to Ataturk and influx of south Slavic blood. ;)

before kemalpasha and his cultural revolution there had been greek, byzantine and other periods in turkey.were these completely erased by the later ottoman period? unisex baths in present day turkey seem like a far cry from strict hejab and male female segregation in other islamic countries like iran for example.
