From Indo-China somewhere -- but with some South Indian influence (the second guy, the soldier, looks like half-Malay-half-Tamil).
If not from Myanmar (as suggested above), they might be some minority people often in border regions, as in Cambodia & Thailand.

Yes they both show good amount of south asian influence. I would have thought bengali even tbh had you not hinted they were se asian in the previous comments.

I actually didn't to hint because I want to see if South Asian members would mistake them as one of their own or not.

Are these the most South Asian looking SE Asians you ever seen?

Can you see them passing anywhere west of Bengal like Bihar, Orissa or Jharkhand?

The first guy, yes. The second guy no. Anyone with any more than a touch of Mong influence is immediately seen as foreign.

Can they pass as Bengali (as what Thambi would have guess)? Can the second guy pass as Munda or some type of Adivasi?

Sorry for late reply. First can pass as native regular Terai folks in Nepal, 2nd can pass as one of those Terai folks mixed with some Mong or Paleo Mong influences, I guess.

Really surprised to see the 1st guy could be a full blooded SE-Asian. He looks full South Asian.
