Edited: I think her blondism is due to a mutation. I don't know. But I think some of them are lighter than few europeans. Which about Northern Japan?

That's some K-pop lady (Irene from Red Velvet) with dyed hair and color contacts.

Rating: low. She looks zombified and evil like other K-pop ladies, and she looks too weak and gracilized.

On the American continent I see that you are very sensitive to skin tone. Around here the structure predominates because obviously we don't have natives like the darker Hindus to give a graphic example, instead we have photos of Inma Cuesta with a high contrast. lol

Because their hair is dyed brown and dark and and use brown contact lens.

Naturally they are all blondes and redhaired with light blue eyes.

It is a secret that the Japanese have kept for millennia, because they do not want to attract foreigners to their country.

The hair has been common since the 90s, contact lenses not so much(although specifically in Korea surgery to get a more "Caucasian" eye shape is a thing), but in the case of the Japanese I don't think it's OWD, as it's usually a more cartoonish, unrealistic, literal yellow/platinum colour of blonde, they try to look "anime" rather than northern European(although you can argue anime is rather Nordic worship).

You know, if we want to discuss "OWD" ethnicities, east Asian peoples take the cake in my experience, haha. Skin lightening creams, double eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty to have a high bridged nose, etc, if you ever go to South Korea just walk around Gangnam and you will see that like at least half of the women probably went to the same plastic surgeon, lmao.

Those type of threads are cancerous. My new year's resolution is to stick to genetics but difficult sometimes to not get involved in them.

I'm always bemused how many people can't tell the difference between what is artificial and what is the real thing. :)

Thing is it's mostly the women who do all that, rarely the men. And don't forget they have extremely strict immigration laws (including against Westerners) and rarely marry out unless they move abroad. I don't have to read about it, haha, I experienced racism firsthand in both Japan and SK. Also, yeah, very rarely did I see a male who looked like they obviously went under the knife, it was mostly women.

Edit: It was just in Japan that I experienced racism, misremembered.

Alexandro

In what sense?

Well, the racism in those countries isn't so much blatant, like in the west, but just in the preconceptions they have about westerners. Like I had people think, more than once, that I sleep with shoes on because apparently that is what people from the west do, lmao.

I had a group of elderly dudes aggressively yell at me late at night in Kabukicho over god knows what, I didn't say anything to them so I assume it was based off my race or something of that sort, who knows.

Also, one time when I was walking back to my hotel I felt a hand on my shoulder, just so happened to be a cop. He wanted to search me for no real reason, I let him do that, offered him my passport but he didn't want to see it, I also assume that was because of my race? He obviously was not able to find anything so he just said "okay, you can go now", leaving me with my stuff all over the pavement, that was fun!

Probably others, but I'm blanking. I recommend visiting both countries to everyone, but just be aware that you will be a minority there, so people might treat you differently.

A green-eyed Ainu man. It's interesting! And some natural blonde asians.

I googled and I found this:
"BLUE OR GREEN EYED ASIANS: HOW DOES IT HAPPEN?
Contrary to what many believe, blue and green eye colors do occur naturally in people of Chinese and East Asian ancestry. As mentioned, gene mutation is one cause; the other occurs when a person of Asian ethnicity possesses Caucasian ancestry on both sides of their family who are carriers of the gene for that particular eye color. For example, a Chinese or Asian couple with brown eyes could conceive a child with naturally blue or green colored eyes, so long as the gene for this eye colour exists somewhere within the ancestral line of both parents."

I doubt they have blue eyes. It would be very rare. Anyway this girl in the OP has obvious dyed hair (it is that brassy colour) and is wearing contact lens.

While Melanesians have blond hair (Australian Aboriginals also have) they don't have blue eyes.

eye and hair color are "complex genetics" meaning they don't require a specific mutation to occur; they can be the result of many different factors.

Some Melanesians have blonde hair and lack any kind of West Eurasian admixture, their blondism evolved independently and it's caused by a different mutation IIRC.

It's a different mutation than the European one so nothing to do with European admixture.

Bustamante and his colleagues compared the genomes of 43 blond and 42 dark-haired Solomon Islanders. This revealed that the blond hair was strongly associated with a single mutation in the TYRP1 gene, which encodes an enzyme that influences pigmentation in mice and humans. In Europeans, several genes are known to contribute to blond hair, but TYRP1 isn’t involved.

Japanese celebrities look more natural in terms of facial features. Chinese celebrities look as plastic as the Korean ones, but their aesthetic is different, Korean artists love to change their eye and hair color (sometimes to unusual pigments).

They seem to like the color diversity of westerners, but their ideal phenotype is quite un-Caucasoid (short face with a reduced jawline and a pointy chin).

It's a shame there's this pressure to look a certain way, many of them look perfectly fine without needing to resort to so many invasive cosmetic procedures.

They don't even actually have real blonde hair either, or atleast the type you would associate with a blonde Finn or Dutchman, but "hair sun bleaching ability"(it's a real thing, some Europeans have this type of blondism as well over regular blondism, there are un-dyed individuals that can have most of their hair, or even only the tips on really long hair, look blonde in the middle of summer, and other times it will be literal brunet/dark brown, not just darker but still light brownish roots, and yes I'm absolutely sure these people weren't dyed, i.e: https://is.mediadelivery.fi/img/some/default/26be43c33f8545568e792263e857bbd1.jpg | https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/qFHMCFLOLGqDGrhlIeQDWDLDZ4c=/0x0:3000x2000/1400x1400/filters:focal(0x0:3000x2000):format(jpeg)/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/46992628/GettyImages-173204878.0.jpg | https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DXw3-BOXcAYn2uv.jpg , that's the same person, I guarantee you he isn't dyed). The further it gets from the root, the more bleaching ability it gets, you can see the have black/brunet roots(but it definitely isn't dyed). Basically, they have "chameleon hair", not pure blonde hair. Also, almost every single blonde Melanesian/Aboriginal loses it by adulthood, much more commonly kept by women over men, likely driven by some sort of hormone. Imo, there's also levels of different bleaching ability(like tanning ability) that different people have.

Here's two women that kept it, you can literally see the one with the shorter Afro basically has two hair colours at once:

https://ocdn.eu/images/pulscms/NGE7MDA_/88ac463ae373fe0a6f11deba8c08e213.jpg

An even clearer pic, basically the top half is blonde, bottom half is black or brunet, it's really weird:

https://s.err.ee/photo/crop/2016/03/28/200606h4ba3t2.jpg

Like Paleoeuropean said, it's a very complicated thing, and can't even only be explained by genes, the Europeans that were blonde in childhood but grow to have light brown, brown, brunet, and even black hair(I know an Irish-Canadian example IRL don't "lose" the genes or derived alleles associated with the blondism, they would have the same SNP results as a blonde person in adulthood.

It is only one person dressing different clothes isnt?
Koreans are heavily homogeneous, same for Northern Koreans, the last ones are not into surgery for obvious reasons but you cant really differentiate northern koreans from southern koreans

North Koreans still have this more oldschool attitude where they haven't lost the purity of their hearts, and they look less brainwashed and zombified than South Koreans:

Yep, northern koreans have more 'wife material' vibe than southern ones

This Is actually a very Interesting thing to me. I thought blondism was actually a Caucasian thing specially European.

Are Australian aboriginals really pure ?

No, they are not, and I suspect the blond hair has more to do with European sailors than anything else.

A: She has part European ancestry.
B: She has done surgery to her eyes or contact lenses. And it's not hard to colour your hair.

Or she is a rare mutation.

I think it goes without saying that she is wearing colored contacts and has dyed hair, that is obvious.

I can't argue with that but they are for most part very kind people. Only had good experience with them.

Same, for the most part, but like anywhere you have some bad apples.

After my quote I red your other comment. It seems you had most of your bad experience in Japan. And yes I have heard about this kind of discrimination in Japan. It's not straight forward but more hidden true. Among East Asians the South Koreans are the most similar to the Western world in their mentality from my experience (if you even can word it that way). Chinese discrimination is rude straight forward. Japanese discrimination is more subtile behind your back. Now just because it is subtile it doesn't make it better. Sometimes it makes it even worse. South Korean discrimination is something inbetween neither as rude nore as sneaky.

Of course we are talking about the racist portion of these folks. The average, especially younger generation is mostly more open minded.

Yeah, I never had any bad experiences in South Korea, people there are generally more....warm? Kind? I always kind of felt like the Japanese were a bit, hmm, distant, cold and the fake politeness kind of got on my nerves after a while, haha, it feels insincere and robotic.

I have never been to mainland China or Taiwan, but I'd love to visit someday.

That is what I meant with subtile behind your back racism. Even if they dislike you or what you do, they will stay polite but it is so fake lol. You will realize that they don't like you or what you did when they start to distance themselves from you. They don't speak to each other, they speak behind each others backs, simply cold.

It's not her eyes who look european (they look asian to me, entire eye area + very depressed nose), but her jaw, it makes me think she did some op on the jaw or something, doesn't look typically east aidan.

I'd rephrase that actually: North Koreans are brainwashed by their government, while South Koreans are brainwashed by Hollywood.

Edited: I think her blondism is due to a mutation. I don't know. But I think some of them are lighter than few europeans. Which about Northern Japan?

She is a K-Pop idol from the South Korean girl group "Red Velvet", her name is Irene.

East Asians & Black Africans can't have light pigmentation unless they're Caucasoid admixed. I've never seen any pure Asian/Black African with light hair & light eyes.

Japan is a OWD country, but at same time it's not. Japanese people are very proud about their background and heritage, but in terms of looking and whatever, many do think japanese people are not nice looking and try to emulate Northern Euro aesthetics to feel better.

Japanese women are known to avoid sunbathing, to avoid developing tanned skin (which they can easily get, just look at Japanese men who don't care about this stuff and get a tan pretty quickly).

They sometimes have an umbrella, etc.

Some Japanese women also color their hair dark or light chesnut, but it is very rare for Japanese to have chesnut hair (dark or light), often their hair is almost black, so imagine blond ...

There are some Japanese with hazel, chesnut or mixed eyes color, but it's very rare, so imagine the blue eyes ...

That is true. Japanese pale-ness is partly due to them completely isolating from the sun.

I remember a documentation about some Japanese Karate master who fought with the Mujahedeen during the Soviet war, the guy was so tanned in the Afghan sun he looked darker pigmented than the average Afghan. The genes causing light pigmentation in pure East Eurasian individuals work differently.
