Right people. No one can say that I haven't had a great time here. To deny it would be a lie but I am seeing much to my horror and my dismay that my kin is leaving. Yes my countrymen are my kin- regardless of ideology and I think I would get horribly bored if my countrymen would be gone and I would still be here- and also the events of the last few days did not make me too happy.

So for now I am withdrawing myself from your esteemed company and think about myself, and yada yada and see whether I'll come back- going to miss you people those I will miss most will know it for themselves.

Take care you lot- and who knows..

Enjoy Tristan. When you do come back (which I am sure you will), do bring with you an understanding not to take internet postings too seriously.

Why do people have to make a big scene when they leave? If you want to leave then leave, you're not hurting anyone. Just because you're countrymen leave, doesn't mean you have to follow them anyway. If every Canadian here left for whatever reason, leaving me to be the only Canadian, why should I feel compelled to leave except by trying to make a statement? I don't get it.

You have got to admire the Dutch though. Solidarity in mind and purpose.

I know a lot of my fellow countrymen could learn that lesson.

Solidarity is great. But those efforts should be concentrated on setting your country straight rather than trying to hurt someone's feelings by leaving a board en masse because a few of them can't take a joke or have any idea what having a sense of humour means.

Turn your computer off, take a breather, and come back. Like I said, you aren't hurting anyone by leaving perminantly or temporarily. We all have lives that exist outside this forum, and our lives aren't going to stand still just because some pissed off people can't deal with people who joke around and like having a good time.

rather than trying to hurt someone's feelings by leaving a board en masse because a few of them can't take a joke

I can't see how them leaving was because they wished to hurt people's feelings!
I thought they left because an unfortunate joke backfired and instilled a degree of hurt in the real world and friends and mutual acquaintances decided this place wasn't for them to frequent anymore.

A joke is usually something that everyone can laugh at from a standpoint of mutual cultural acceptance.

Death is not usually one of those.

Thanks for advice. Like I was considering leaving.

Perhaps I should create a profile of Joseph Fritzl and post provocative pictures of little children in the 'Beautiful European Women' thread and belittle the common agreement of anti-child molesting stances every European preservationist member has?

I don't know about you, but I tend to read the words set in stone over the doorway I walk through.

Mission Statement

The Apricity is a free-speech forum for people of European heritage who believe in the importance of European cultural and racial preservation. For this reason The Apricity forum will accept as members any interested persons of full European descent.

However, The Apricity forum has a Germanic and Northern European orientation.Call me anal, Mr. Veritas Aquitas aka: Mr Security "law abiding" officer, but I also happen to value the rules by which I am entrusted to adhere to upon entering other people's domains.

You're not serious are you? It was a friggin joke, anyone with an IQ of 50 could see that. And more than a joke, it was a clever parody.

I think people are laughing more that we have so many serious people without a sense of humour.

That's fine. MY apologies then. Just when you make a comment underneath my name, expect a response.

As for chilling out! I will once people have got out of their systems the urge to make snidey remarks about people who contributed to this forum with good intent and common purpose.

It's not that it couldn't be identified as a joke, Loki, but more that some thought this wasn't the place to make such jokes.

As sad as it may be to the majority (it seems), this place is considered a serious internetzing commode of YTness to some.

The one place for many miles around where your insanity is converted to sanity.

SuuT's thread aside, the presence of Obama is a red rag to a bull for some who consider this place their only place to relax and mix with like minded people.

I hear what you're saying, but I think you have missed the point that Barack Obama was a parody to portray Obama in a negative light. For us Brits, it may not be relevant, but for Americans it is very relevant. They need a place to vent their anti-Obama anger and frustration, and this was an excellent way of doing so.

Yes, I'm next. Most of you people are wonderful, and I leave you with pain in the heart, and will sincerely miss. (Those whom I mean know I mean them.:thumbs up)
Some of you though, have turned out to become the reason of my exit. I have a very open mind, and a great sense of humour, but some people just seem to have a very big urge to go too far at times.
(And everyone knows whom I mean by this.)

This has hurt me and some comrades of mine pretty deeply, and thus I feel the need to depart.

So long for now, maybe we'll meet again!

I don't think anyone took it as a red flag. Seeing how he registered near the end of March it was most likely just a regular member's idea of a April Fools prank. God help that individual if you ever find out who he is - he violated the rule on only one account per user.

Hehe I have been following the remarks with a sarcastic smirk on my face because he actually didn't intend to create any drama. Met pijn in het hart is an expression for if one is doing something that he doesn't like to do but deems neccesary. :D He just translated it literary- as seems to be a Dutch disease (Dutch usually translate their expressions literary which causes hilarity or in this case a lot of needless drama- this Dutch disease is called "Dunglish" and I am sure that some of you are already familiar with it.)

Anyways-- got a cup of sake for me ? It was a long trip and I am parched !;)
