Incredible twist as two adopted women search for biological mum
Two sisters who were given up for adoption separately have discovered each other by chance while both trying to track down their biological parents.
The incredible coincidence happened despite the fact that Victoria Tedesco, 40, and Oriana Moscheni, 41, live 1,500 kilometres apart.
Both sisters discovered that they were adopted, but had no luck tracking down their mother over the years.
However, the pair discovered each other after Tedesco spotted a young woman that looked remarkably like her on a page called “Mama te Busca” or “Mum is Looking for You”.
While she was surfing the pages, she was shocked to see a picture of Moscheni, who had a striking resemblance to herself.
Tedesco said she woke her husband and showed him the picture without saying anything, and her suspicions were confirmed when he told her “what are you doing posting pictures of yourself this late?”
Moscheni was so curious that she even paid for Tedesco to have a DNA test with a company in the US that specialises in mapping out a person’s family tree.
Both were shocked to find the results showed they were full sisters after having spent over four decades thinking they were only children.
After an online conversation, they also realised that they had even lived near each other at one point, spending over 20 years in neighbouring districts in Buenos Aires, but never met until now.
After a heartfelt talk with her biological sister, Moscheni said: “We spent 40 years thinking we were only daughters and all the years we have left are to going to be spent building our sisterhood.
“That is why I have been thinking, ‘I came here looking for my past and instead found a future’.”
