Autosomal tests are not a fraud, but the ethnic estimates made through them are still very improvable, and for now we should not take them more than for what they are, an interpretation.

Maybe if you're a mutt, the results are more difficult to interpret relatively accurately.

Firstly it is not accurate in individual cases, and none, zero, null, company will guarantee, that it is accurate.
Even if would be accurate, I don;t need it, as I know au-relevant ascendants, who are irrelevant anyway IRL.

So, it would be just waiste of money on the benefit of liars.

Autosomal and mt have only sense in big population studies IF - IF - there are doubts among archeological or Y data material.

In personal cases - only, when there is some family matter f.e. children in hospital were changed.

I had a thread about them as well... first off MH is an ass, we all know it gives weird results. It gave me like 12% Scandinavian, my dad got like 6% Ireland Scotland and like 6% central Europe let's hope they improve their sources... but 23andMe/ancestry way more accurate on a family result level, and, if you're mixed, ancestry, is better. All these tests use different source populations, have different algorithms for what fits in what when calculating a percentage. So it is not a fraud, but the infancy of quantifying one's heritage by DNA. But just because they are exotic European and score that level of European doesn't mean it is a scam...
