View Full Version : CLASSIFY JIM SARABH. Do Parsis look like European Jews? Jewish and S. Asian members, your opinions?

I realise that people used to get mad by my trolling in the past, but this is genuine question I have to those who know about Jews as I'm trying to learn as well.

South Asian members, what's your opinion? Also, Euro members too. There has to be some sort of genetic connection. Surely. Can someone (Jewish members or otherwise) explore a link between the two groups genetically? Can someone run vahaduo or find GEDmatch samples? There is no doubt about Zoroastrian influence on Judaism (which is why they dress similarly too and have similar religious beliefs), but what explains the similar phenotype?

When I posted, I was told I look very Jewish. Europeans have noted that Parsis are the closest population phenotypically to Jews. An observation made by my relatives too.

"in color Parsis are white, but extremely similar in their mental and physical characteristics to Jews" - Anthony de Montserrate.
They have extremely common features like the hooked nose.

Humanphenotypes says the assyroid phenotype (which is seen in Jews as well), is common among Parsis.

When I posted, people classified me as Jewishoid too.

Anyways, enough babble. The following Indian actor is Parsi and he usually plays roles of MENA people. Very similar looking to Sacha Baron Cohen. When he was posted here, people said his pheno is absent from South Asia, but he wasnt classified.

Iranian Zoroastrians do not look anything like Assyrians at all. Indian Parses are probably very similar to Iranian Zoroastrians if not exactly the same.
Zoroastrians and Assyrians don't even have the same haplotypes to suggest a common ancestry.

What would you classify Jim Sarbh as?

Iranian Zoroastrians look the same as other Muslim Zoroastrians. They are both a central part of the Central Iranian Cluster. At best, Muslims have minor ancestry that Zoroastrians in Iran lack.

I never mentioned Iranian Zoroastrians, only Parsis.

You said "Parsees are exactly the same as Iranian Zoroastrians". Come on now... I don't think you know much about Parsis. Parsees have a ton of Gujarati ancestry that Iranian Zoroastrians don't. They are "mixed race" genetically, and people with mixed genes can have unique phenotypes. You should know this. Remember I'm talking about Parsis and not Iranian Zoroastrians when I made my post. If you're interested, I've already made several posts about Iranian Zoroastrians on this forum.

You can go on the humanphenotypes page and see for yourself. I'm not saying they look Assyrian at all, but some can have traits of Assyroids (which is different).
