Im not sure, I will aske her in more detail. Im pretty sure she told me once her father is from a village close to Romania. She also thought she had some German ancestry but it doesnt really seem like it.

I asked her where her parents come from and this is what she replied.
Mein Vater kommt aus Kočetin (bei Petrovac na mlavi.. Zabari Gegend) und meine Mom aus Zabari und Belgrad


There's Vlach ancestry in those places, but they are predominantly Serb. They fall into the blue area on this map (Timok-Braničevo Serbs)

she actually just wrote me and said her father is 100% Vlach and her mother has some distant German and Hungarian ancestry.

According to old anthropological literature cited by poreklo, Kočetin is a mixed Serb and Vlach (Romanian) village + a few Gypsies:

Approximately 3.5% of the inhabitants declared themselves as Vlachs and Romanians in the census of 2002 (I don't have data for 2011):

Might seem little, but we have to keep in mind that in Majdanpek and Kladovo, which are overwhelmingly of Vlach origin, the percentages are just as small. The number of Vlachs in Žabari who are aware of their origin is surely much larger than that, and if some form of ethnic conciousness remains than so does the language most likely.
