It's funny, I grew up not thinking I had/parents not thinking I had British/Irish ancestry, and these tests seem to reveal some. This, plus 23AndMe matches indicate some of my Isles ancestry is Irish (also likely British). My paternal grandmother was adopted as a child, so obviously I get it from her...

Haha, but likely less an "Iberian" percentage for myself- I forgot to mention that this is my father's result. Updated the OP.

he used to score 2.8% Iberian on 23andMe on previous updates, but that's vanished, and now he has a little MENA in it's place.

That you have an Irish community means you surely have Irish ancestry, but the MH ethnic estimate for NW Europeans is highly untrustworthy as I'm sure you know. My English mother gets 0% English, 46% Irish/Scottish/Welsh and 46% Scandinavian, as well East European and West Asian.

The Irish community is only present at Medium confidence, but I'm thinking it is real on account of his 23andMe Results. If it's a relatively minor component in my father, then that could explain the Medium.
