Also place/pass if you want.
From Rabo de Peixe, São Miguel Island.
The accents differ from island to island, and even within the islands.

Sounds familiar....my ex girlfriend and her family were from Bretanha on São Miguel. I don't really speak Portuguese but the islander dialects are really hard for me to understand, like the dialect of Madeira is almost incomprehensible xD. Hmm, with the Azoreans that I have known and including this one, there are a lot of vowel reductions, the speech is fast, and they pronounce the "u" kinda like the French do.

Yes, it is a hard question for a foreigner, but for Latin language people is easier, IMO.

Sounds like a French trying to speak Portuguese.

As for the classification, Transmed (Atlanto/Gracile mix) + CM.

This town, Rabo de Peixe, is known for this thick accent.

On the last video he sad that São Miguel's accent was influenced by French. I liked that: "Agua'd arroto".

I think Spanish is much more understandable than that accent to me. It's more dificult to understand than was Italian to me when I started to learn it. Interesting, really sounds like French. Do Portuguese clearly comprehend it?

More or less. I can comprehend it fine, but at first I needed the subtitles to some parts.
