Interesting. My uncle says that one of the noble families I could be descended from is German. And I know that most German-speaking nobles in the Russian empire were actually Baltic Germans, who of course intermarried with the local populations. But more probably it's the Belarussian line, right? I am 1/4 Belarussian. And I also could have ancestors from the Smolensk area, which borders Belarus and was sometimes considered Belarussian in the past.

Well, it doesn't have to mean anything with ancestry, I mean Baltid is common all over Eastern and Northern Europe to Sweden. We can't really predict what actually influences the look and to know it you should do a DNA test which can say more but still not everything

Theres a sort of look that Russians have, that no one else has. I can't put it into words, but if you know... you know...
