What is the ethnicity of the Alawites?

I have heard many theories about the origin of the Alawites from Peninsular Arabs to Kurds to Turks to Greeks to Assyrians to Persians....Does anyone have a solid answer? What is their (my) ethnicity and who do they cluster with?

I would assume that they cluster with Levantines.
Did you imply from your post that you are an Alawite?

On K12b they are closest to Lebanese christians
