Are there any company that provide us such service?

I think it will be a way to discovery who was my great-grandpa because I could go back one generation closer him. I have some hair (with root).

Sorry if it was a stupid question.

I've thought about this too. Maybe someday hair samples will be usable for dna extraction, but as far as I know all of the commercial companies have built their extraction methods around saliva samples or cheek swabs.

Indeed there are, but it's pretty expensive: https://thegeneticgenealogist.com/2018/11/19/testing-artifacts-obtain-dna-evidence-genealogical-research/. I think envelope seals are actually your best bet.

There are paternity DNA test with this material in a company here, I'll ask them. I think they can use PCR to amplify and record it into a chip.
