Pajkos MyHeritage results

Some Greek and Italian appeared compared to my 23andme and the AJ and WA disappeared.
Im curious about your opinions :)

In people with your origins I do not know (some companies seem to give better results depending on wich origins you have), in my case, there have not been big differences.

In my case , differences yes, but understandable and that all together (the results obtained through a saliva test and uploading raw data from other companies) pointed to the same trend.

Maybe others Hungarians or people from neighbouring countries can clarify you better than me your particular case comparing it with their cases.

In my case the two results pretty much align in the very low or none Balkan component, and the lack of NW European one. These two regions are very usual at around 20-30% in Hungarian results as far as i remember.
So the conclusion is pretty much the same as at my 23andme discussion, im a bit out of the Hungarian basket :)

I’m not sure how it compares with Eastern Europeans but MyHeritage has been the least accurate for me and many users on Reddit. I would take the smaller percentages with a grain of salt.

Here is mine.
The North and West European is accurate. The Iberian is higher than the other tests I’ve taken, also I’ve never scored Eastern European on a test before.
It didn’t give me any Scandinavian or SSA.

The genetic communities were spot on though.
Also, I did the upload for my mother and sisters and we all got very different breakdowns.
It’s still fun to look over though. Haha

-Your results aren’t completely out of line with your ethnic background. I do remember your previous test was mostly Eastern European so I would trust 23andme more so than MyHeritage but you never know

Eastern Europe on MyHeritage is laughable even after update, I actually dislike most of those two companies. Ftdna seem to be most reliable imo, but that's just my opinion. I got free results there recently.

MH estimates always strike me like GEDmatch oracles, not accurate to one's paper trail, but technically a balanced approximation of what your ancestry could be. Only MH is not as balanced as GED. And not rarely they throw in an oddball assignment which is absolutely illogical, like say.. Eskimo, something like that. :)

I would say your estimate is not that bad, on balance.

If you are in the uploading mood, I think LivingDNA does a decent estimate. Better than MH anyway.

This kinda proves what Gedmatch also showed, that you seem to have seemingly Mediterranean roots besides your overwhelming Slavic one, a very interesting combination for a Hungarian. Can you also tell us what Genetic Groups you get at high and medium level?

Yes, i think so too, the results show similar by this mean.

I get genetic groups in any case for EE only.
