I thought it worth mentioning that I've been away touring the Alps for almost three weeks. Austria, Switzerland and France. Beautiful place. Funny thing is - three weeks without the Internet really gets you into the habit of NOT posting on forums you'd previously been a regular at. So strangely, I'm finding it difficult to get back into the swing of participating.

Anyway, hope you've all been well and the dramas haven't been too dramatic :thumb001:.

I was helping a band out (driving, carrying equipment etc). We went to Val Thorens, Val D'Isere, Morzine, Tignes, Mayrhofen, Laax and Zurich. Did a bit of snowboarding but got sick of falling over. Went walking a bit in the Swiss Alps, met a lot of interesting people, spent a vast amount of time in the car. Had a great time. I think Mayrhofen, Austria was the nicest overall place (but impossible for a vegan/vegetarian). Laax, Switzerland had the most picturesque mountain but Mayrhofen had the picturesque Alpine old-town architecture aswell as stunning scenery.

Welcome back! I can't wait to see the pictures. The last set you posted from a vacation looked great, but the Alps are probably even more so.

i have been to sambach amm inn on german/austrian boarder nice place lovely people great food :thumb001:
