That is, if the boy presents spanish surnames, and knowing as we know that there are white cubans, why are we doubt about his spanish ancestry?

Yeah, the mother does have a suspicious nose. She might have higher SSA but she's fat, old and saggy so it makes her harder to classify. A younger picture would be better.

To my eye they do look black admixed. I don't remember the interview very well but I believe their father was American (I'm assuming white) so the mixed look probably comes from the mothers side.

Are you sure? I don't know, I've yet to see any Cuban who scores high Amerindian. The most NA I've seen a Cuban score on 23andme is 5%. Is that enough to affect phenotype? I'm thinking she might be Canarian influenced. Here's a photo gallery of her on the show. She looks less weird from different angles.
