Genetic studies has shown that ancient people of Anatolia were genetically similar to Southern Italians and Greeks, unlike modern day Turks that cluster with Turkmens and other Central Asians.

This tells us that modern day Anatolian residents are basically all non-indigenous immigrants.

Greeks are actually genetically more Anatolian than modern day Turkish people.
