I'd imagine music like this would be more popular in that kind of setting

Average white IQ is 100 but that means a minority are paleotropical like most blacks :

Paleotropical: IQ mean 70-90: Primitive humans

These people represent the closest modern analogy to ancestral tropical hominids. Like all primates and hominids, they are socially-oriented, but tend to be rather carefree in their social structures. Sexual relations are free, and polyandry and polygyny is the norm, without strict family structures. Work only enough to support a subsistence lifestyle, and spend the rest of time on play, music/dancing, sex, etc. The influence of these people is what characterizes the geopolitical "South".Within modern societies, they tend to form a majority of the underclasses.

Most trance/house/techno/DnB etc played at clubs is made by Europeans, at least here. Maybe its different in the states.

Techno, House, DnB all these genres are related to blacks. Techno appeared in Detroit, House in Chicago, and DnB in the multicultural London where live plenty of Afro-Caribbeans.

if you takes the modern contemporary period of the popular modern amplified music with all her sub chapels like :
rock and roll, rhythm and blues,jazz,funk,hip-hop,metal,techno etc,the role of black american people is maybe a brick but not all the wall, somewhat important but not all the main line,at least not in the first years of the proto-rockabilly and the rockabilly itself

and before this era and before jazz music it was classical music and you could find a few black classical music composers
