View Full Version : Just because I don't get Amerindian DNA on my test, does it really mean I'm a fake Indian?

Some say if you don't get any DNA matches for Native American, it must mean that your family stories or lineage is horsepucky and you have no Indian ancestors. I disagree with this, because genetics do not work that way, especially if your Native American ancestors are rather distant, you may just simply not inherit any matches from them, but that doesn't mean that these are just family fairy tales as many like to claim. The amount of tribes in the database are extremely limited. What I wonder is people who get Native American DNA- especially a small amount and believe they must have ancestry, when they have zero evidence of any Indians on their family tree, or can never prove any lineage. This to me suggests, that the DNA tests are not accurate and they are not proof you do/do not have Native American DNA.

Your amerindian doesn't seem real, but your Jewish definitely is. Embrace that instead.

You are just a white American, the Indian ancestor was likely a family legend.

Well, even having some residual Amerindian admix wouldn't make you a "real Indian". Aside from the fact it would be insignificant on an autosomal basis, you have retained absolutely zero of the culture and traditions of whatever tribe you are supposed to descend from, the members of that tribe would not view you as one of their own but an outsider.

I did not want blow your cover but the cat is out of the bag I already called you out as crypto-Jew but that , perhaps, does not preclude trace Amerindian per se since you are an AmeriKwan.

Honestly, it seems to me most of this DNA analysis bullshit is either commercially motivated lies or politically motivated statistical manipulation.

Why is it so important to you to have Indian ancestry? Wouldn't you rather be fully White? (I know you dismiss your Jewish blood)

We do not inherit the dna from all of our ancestors, so you may have a very distant Indian ancestor and it may not show up in your dna.

Imagine that the white semicircle is you and that the red and blue squares are your ancestors (The largest are your parents, then your grandparents...), you can see that at one point some ancestors disappear

Americans like to claim Amerindian ancestry because it gives them a connection to the land/exotifies them. They like to live through their ancestors, and mindlessly accept any story that shows them to be "different".

If your ancestors were in Colonial America, the odds of having indian tribes is very likely.

Well, you took two tests and neither detected any Injun in you. So the logical conclusion would be that it's just not there. And even if it was 1-2%, would that matter a lot to you? Raedwald is like 3% Amerindian and he completely downplays it, as far as I know (might be because he's a WN or something, I don't know).

How is any of what I said "liberal bullshit"? Americans love to live through their ancestors (well, stereotypes) and call themselves "Cherokee" or "Italian", etc without knowing anything about it or having any real connection to those groups or their culture. It is a common symptom of being cut off from your roots and deracinated. Lol, imagine having to take a DNA test to find out what you are, instead of just having a strong ethnic identity like any European/Old Worlder does.

The colonial settlers had very few marriage partners to choose from..most of the indian stuff was kept hidden as family secret until it became more socially acceptable.

Also, I can trace my ancestors back to 10th century England. So I probably know more about my heritage than you know yours.

I don't know how you came to this conclusion from what I said. A lot of Americans (white and black) claim native ancestry when they do not even have it as a component. They want to feel special and ""exotic"", like they have more of a claim to the land compared to others, but they're also very selfish and don't give a damn about their languages or cultures. It is a shallow as fuck sense of identity.
