Using old nomenclature.
The origin of O2b is currently thought to be in the region stretching from south Korea and Jeju island to west Japan. There was probably an ancestral Koreo-Japonic language family that was severely altered by substratums and superstratums in every region.

Found an ethnic Russian from the Volga region with O-M175 (apparently he hasn't taken a deeper test, only Y-67). Extremely rare! His FTDNA results do not suggest any recent East Asian admixture, maybe I'll see his Gedmatch later.
