"Jewish" is a term regarding ethnicity and/or religion, whereas "Ashkenazi" is more or less a Taxonomical term.
"Ashkenazi" is a phenotypic mixture between Europid and Armeno/Orientalid.
Similar to the term "Mulatto", which is Europid + Negroid, or "Hapa", Europid + Mongoloid.
