I was surprised to see that Aarav Bhatia having light eyes because I knew his father, Askshay Kumar, has brown eyes. His mother also has brown eyes too. There seems to be a phenomenon among Northern Indians giving birth to light eyed children (Aishwarya Rai has blue eyes despite her parents having brown eyes).

I did some research on genetics and found that if anything, it seems brown eyes are going extinct if I understand this correctly, rather than blue eyes. This is because although light eyes are recessive, they have the opportunity to pop up depending on how many blue eyed ancestors you have. However, brown eyes can’t pop up if both parents have blue eyes.

In other words, if you wipe out the brown eyed population, they will not come back. Yet, if you wipe out the blue eyed population, blue eyes may still pop up depending on how many blue eyed ancestors the brown eyed people have and from there, blue eyed people can keep reproducing.

Btw Aishwarya Rai is South Indian. And she has green eyes, not blue.
