Based own my personal experience in Palermo-Buenos Aires, about 60%-70% white (mainly Spanish/Italian stock, some lack of nordic looking like in Southern Brazil) and the rest Chilean looking people (maybe foreigns).

Not comparable at all with south Brazil where germanic and slavic background are something common.
Most people descend of italians and spaniards in Buenos Aires, in that sense is more similar to white paulistas than to RS or SC .
Northern shifted people are commonin in some areas of the countryside but in the capital area they are a very minimum minority and rare, indeed the most typical "porteño" has fair skin and southern european traits with midium/dark or dark hair.

I would say mestizos cuarterones or "castizos", in average. Between 75% and 80% european admixed and the rest Amerindian, With strong variations depending on the region

Friend, I apologize because I made a mistake, because I didn ‘t explain to you the sense of the chart.
In the chart the Blue represent the caucasoid element of argentine gene pool, the Red the amerindian and the Green (in the basis) the African.

Average Argentine is probably in castizo range, so 3/4 white and 1/4 amerindian. I disagree about those who see Argentina as white country, Uruguay is only white country in Latin America. Agree that there are lots of proper whites in Argentina, but they aren't majority and whiteness of Argentines is generally exaggerated on anthroboards IMO.

Well... what you said in a way is accurate... but especially in the genetic sense.
Not more than 30/35% of argentines are +90% Euro by genetics, while close to 50% of the uruguayans reach that range... and in this sense, a difference of 15% is really important.
So, in Uruguay, may be it's not the bulk of the population, but at least the biggest minority by far.

The following barplots show exactly this:
