Actually Kosava but some call that place Kossovo as well, maybe it can be pretendent for Belarusian Kosovo, who knows?

You have also a bunch of churches to see there.
Generally, it was place connected strongly to Polish inteligence, it used to be in hand of Polish magnat family of Sapieha, then family of Pusłowski(who decided to build the castle) and then in hands of Russians.
Btw in the area there was born Tadeusz Kościuszko, who was fighting Russian Empire before the 3rd and last partition of Commonwealth as well he took part in American Revolution War.
There is museum of Kościuszko as well

Also, there was an incident called "shooting in Kosava". In short, in 1927 Belarusian Peasants' and Workers' Union was taken as procommunist(well, I'm not educated enough to tell if that's true, it could be easily another thread made about that) by Polish authorities and in the Kosava there was the manifestation, when the red flags raised, Polish officers were shotting which ended up killing 6 people and hurting several more. Another result was lower trust of local people to Polish authorities but nothing very bad happenned as far as I read.
