Today is 761 years since 1260 when Samogitians together with Curonians defeated united forces of Teutonic Knights from Prussia and Livonian Order from Livonia.
When the battle started, Curonians switched from the Knights side to the Samogitian side, and Estonians refused to fight on the side of Knights.
This battle inspired uprising of Prussians, Semigalians, Curonians and Oeselians. Semigalians were the last who surrended (1290, part of them emigrated to Lithuania).

That was very impressive, but it didn't stop the process of Teutons taking over the land
Unfortunatelly, so many bad things happened to Balts because of Mazovian prince who decided to locate few knights, giving stronger position to tako over area of Baltic tribes(ofc not only him but some bishop of Riga as well)
