to the point - imho that period caused the look (phenotype) of "Balkan" Europe to the some degree

I can't talk for the other Balkan countries (I don't wanna set my hat on fire :lol: ), but in the case of Romania the Turanid influence comes exclusively from Tatars, not Ottoman Turks (except in Dobrogea, where there were some Turks, but not in large numbers).
