I wanted to say that as well... he does not look too Southern, more French/German... if you look at other pics its more evident (although 1st pic is enough) and in his brothers case even more so

Well hard to say if its some recent more continental/ southern or simply Neolithic farmer genes showing. (Pre Germanic or just Vikings bringing some trophy wifes)

A lot of his feautures are typical for Atlanto Meds- forehead shape, robuster midface, moderate chin length compared to Nordids, head looks lower (but broad) etc.
