T or F: Transwomen have higher rate of HIV?

I came across this article where it says that transwomen are 49 times more likely to have HIV/AIDS compared to non trans people. So I was wondering if it’s biased or true. If this is true, why do cisgender women have lower HIV/AIDS rates ?

It's true. However, black transwoman are more likely than the average non-black person to be infected with HIV. 44% of black transwomen in America have HIV.

If this is true, why do cisgender women have lower HIV/AIDS rates ?

The overwhelmingly dominant risk factor for getting AIDS is homosexual contact, followed by re-using needles for illegal drug use. Transmission through heterosexual contact is quite rare by comparison.

If you have a look at the infection rates for HIV in the US, you may notice that hetero white women get infected with HIV, but not hetero white men (unless drug users). Coal burners are a disease vector all over the globe.

On the other hand, the rates for black heterosexual women to have HIV are startlingly high compared to white heterosexual women. 50% of black women have genital herpes.

Since black women are much more likely to have sex with black men than white women, the opportunities for infection increase given the large numbers of black men who are incarcerated and then exposed during incarceration.

In fact, if it weren't for homosexuals, drug users, black people, and coal burners, AIDS wouldn't even exist as it does now.
