I wonder if all of them have White blood inside them. Do they intermarried with Euros a lot historically? Are they culturally pretty Westernized? Polynesians seem very Westernized and Christianized from what I have noticed.

I doubt the majority have European blood, but many probably do. Polynesians marry a lot with Whites in NZ and Australia, but there are hardly any permanent Whites on those islands. Cook Islands is a territory of New Zealand and they are citizens; nearly all of them speak English and most are Christian, so yeah, I'd say they're pretty Westernised.

Probably the only Polynesian Islands where everybody has European blood is the Pitcairn Islands (with 47 people), that was famously settled by mutineers of the Bounty under Fletcher Christian, and their Tahitian wives, in the 1790s.

A lot more Southeast Asian than Papuan. But then again, the Maori are not indigenous to New Zealand, they came over there about 700 years ago.

A lot more Southeast Asian than Papuan. But then again, the Maori are not indigenous to New Zealand, they came over there about 700 years ago.

From Tahiti way, not Asia. The Polynesian Maori had been colonising the South and Western Pacific for an estimated five centuries prior to settling NZ. These are the people of Tahiti, NZ, Cook Islands, Hawaii and various islands in that region.

Not Tonga, Samoa, Tokelau ,Fiji and the Melanesian islands further east. There is evidence that Tonga was settled by the earliest people around two millennia ago.
