Why aren't they at least a little bit more southern-shifted, or in whatever direction shifted away from Hungarians?
I found it weird that Slovenes and Hungarians plot together & overlap. What could be the historical reasons for it?

How is it surprising that neighbours plot next to each other? Slovenia is mostly geographically not even in Balkans.

They don't plot next to each other - they literally plot in the same area (within each other / on top of each other).
At least when using 2D PCA. Maybe in a 3D PCA there would be some difference.

Didn't you read my post? Should I repeat myself again? Do Slovenians come from Spain or what?

Slovenes cluster with northern Hungarians on K13 PCA, Northern Hungarians are more Slavic shifted (towards Slovaks) than other Hungarian areas.

Yeah, genetically similar people settled there.

They had very different populations in the iron age. Then Hungary seems to have received massive Roman settlement, and the resulting mix ended up very similar to IA Slovenians. After that they mostly mixed with the same populations, Slavs and Germanics.
Maybe there were some extra steps in between but it's hard to say until we get more ancient samples.
