I remember watching some documentary about matriarchal Mosuo people from China and being amazed by beautiful Asian women, in a way it makes sense for them to look better as most of the relationships (or affairs) in this group over hundreds of years resulted from sexual attraction, freely choosing your partner (generally selecting for good looking features) and not from some kind of arranged deals where for instance some ugly but rich man could have a preferential amount of off-spring as in other societies. They are much better looking than regular Chinese Han people for sure.
