Is the baskid race somehow connected to Dinarids? They look quite similar.

Probably not. The respective populations where those phenotypes are common aren't paricularly close.

He looks exactly like the guy in the phenotype example lol.

"race" lol- Baskid is Dinaroid looking but not dinaricized, thats why Op should post a profil too. The guy could easily pass in much more Eastern areas, Levant, Caucasus too but does not mean every Baskid looking individual could- he looks Eastern shifted

I believe baskids have sharper features than that. So i would say this other portuguese man would be a better example:

Coon said Dinaric (flat occiput/brachy types) came via Bell Beaker to Iberia (whatever they really looked like though), while he noted the Cappadocien Med type in Spain as well which is similar to Baskid (a phenotype that Lundmann invented) since it is doli/meso and convex nosed. The "Dinaric belt" is noted as well which stretches from Pyreenes, Alps and parts of North Italy down to the Balkans but so called "phenotype connections" should be taken with a pinch of salt anyway. The man Damiao has posted would belong to the brachy types, since he looks quite broadheaded btw

I believe he is more Littorid shifted than Baskid

IMO a textbook Baskid looks more like this man (stonger atlantic strain and less armenized than the OP):

According to Coon "Baskid" is a mixture of Atlanto-Mediterranean with partially blond Dinarics and Alpines, thus its strong affinities to the Keltic type (substitute Atlanto-Mediterranean for Nordic and there you go). "Dinaroid" is a meaningless, vague term. For starters the Portuguese man is clearly not Baskid for he is neither round-headed nor low-headed, two of the core features of the type.

It is probably a mixture of other phenotypes, but that it fits is undeniable, they look like twins (With the average "basquid")
