I’m still waiting on my dad to spit in his tube. He’s a bit of a stubborn one but my mothers 23andme came in today.

Nothing too surprising. I was hoping I’d get some answers for a possible Sorbian surname (Kubitz/Kubitza) I found in her family tree but I’m assuming there was a mistake between relatives since she didn’t score any Eastern European. Her Haplogroup is H1.

My guess is my dad will score around 85-95% B&I and a little of French and German.

I think she mentioned somewhere that she has Cajun ancestry from Louisiana, so it's very likely.

Yes, I was able to trace it back to a slave mistress in the late 1700's. She was from the Senegambia and Atlantic slave trade. I'm starting to think maybe there is another more recent ancestor I haven't found yet being that my mother is 6%.

What do you mean? 23andMe does list the (French) putative regions of origin.

I'm talking about them on the results of Celestia's mother, they dont show the breakdown that the UK ones on her case show, so that means her French ancestry is far removed enough for the company not to find a match on their sample base.

Right now it's predicting that I inherited 27% B&I from my dad.
It's predicting that I inherited more French and German from him as well, which I'm 95% sure isn't accurate so once his results come in I'm sure there will be a much bigger change.
