I think Hungarian looks frequently combine elements of East/West/North/South Europe, in a rather balanced way. This is probably not particular to only Hungary, surely this occurs throughout central Europe, but perhaps Hungary is the epicenter of this phenomenon.

I remember I had a friend who told me about the '7 faces of Poland'. His point was that there were certain sort of stereotypical types, that when you would see them you would think, damn, that person looks so Polish.

I imagine Hungary has the same sort of thing.

1) "Typical Hungarian" is practically impossible to say outside of what region you are talking about in Hungary today. The ancient Magyar tribes were also a large genetic mix of heterogeneous steppe tribes of Turkic organizational and cultural structure.

2) Ethnic similarity depends on the Hungarian person used as reference against them.
3) Yes, but at this point, it's more genetic than what most people can note phenotypically. Turanid phenotype is not as big in Hungary as Alpine. Most Hungarians look like Europeans but with a bit of "flair" to their features.
4) You look a bit Hungarian, but I would not think that first.

In Hungary we can classify ourself its mean when we see someone and we know that person possibly from Borsod or Zala or Csongrád because i think is very spectacular difference

In Hungary i can see sometimes very turanid people specially girls from alfold or in the jászság i see a lot of dark pigmented (not gypsy) Pamirid but in western Hungary its very Dinaric-Nordid sometime alpine but yes Hungarian people very mixed i think no one is 100% Hungarian only in the soul and heart.

I think no one is 100% Hungarian only in the soul and heart.

There were never 100% Hungarians. Hungarians were not a meta-ethnicity or small tribal group from Scandinavia that expanded and split into different, smaller groups. Hungarians became an ethnicity after mixing together many steppe tribes. All of these people called themselves something else at some point. The majority of these tribal names were of Turkic origin. To be a Hungarian in "soul and heart" is saying that someone from Nigeria or Norway who learns to speak Japanese is and believes they are a samurai are real Japanese. What matters is shared history, cultural values, genetic legacy, and common acknowledgement that you cannot just "quit." Any identity that can be opted-in or opted-out with ease is one that is destined to die. Might as well be a fad identity.

Civilization is not transferable by paper. It is very important to understand the symbolism of the seven "Hungarian tribes" coming together by blood and taking the "blood oath." It was not a paper promise or a nation based around a location of occupation. It was a nation of people.

I would say hungarians are like other people from central europe but maybe with slightly more northern ancestry? I dont think they have much turko-ural elements, a little bit in some people. The original Magyar were more like volga tatars, but actually modern hungarians are very close to some of the danubian yamnaya people. Yeah you do actually look quite hungarian, sort of dinaridy-alpinidy-pontidy-nordidy? Very unique looks i would say are common in hungarians.

I see your point but Only Transdanubians have slightly more northern ancestry .
I think to Volga tatars and the modern day tatars look like ancient Magyars

People always say that i look like eastern slavic russian or polish i know my look is outlier in Hungary i remember in the school sometimes classmates ask me where my family came fromxd

Hungarian look can be a bit hard to describe concisely but for trained eye you feel you know it when you see it.
However it is not exactly one look, also because of the range of possible looks/types in Hungary its sometimes quite possible to see someone you think could be Hungarian but then you find out they are from another East Central Euro ethnicity.

The more stereotypical look in the past was the proud looking Hungarian man with the fantastic moustache. Also can see such a look amongst the Csikos/Hungarian cowboys of the Pusta. Yet for sure not all Hungarians look like that , but there are certain looks one feels to be very Hungarian. For example my Uncle looks extremly Hungarian looking, so does my Dad but my Uncle maybe even bit more so.

'Blood oath' is a very Turkic ritual, in Turkish there is a saying with literal translation as 'to drink oath' when people make important promise and pledge and this awesome picture reflects its origin

Meanwhile the seven Hungarian tribes were Nyék, Magyar, Kürtgyarmat, Tarján, Jeno, Kér and Keszi, whose names are able to be expressed in Turkish by academia: Kürtgyarmat belongs to a Turkic clan from central Asia while Kér means 'giant', Keszi means 'part' with Tarján and Jeno are rank titles in Turkish military

Turul has answered the other questions very well so I want to answer only this one: Thinking of the Hungarians I have met and got to know so far, I can say you definitely have Hungarian vibe. I have heard about the Rusyn but never met one, can you tell a bit about them? I think they are pure Slavic, yes?
