Hey everyone, so I know that in North and East Russia people have a relatively high amount of Siberian DNA. How much Siberian can they get?

No problem. They are 10-12%, I believe. I have a couple of individuals with nearly 15% but those are rather rare cases. Obviously people with recent foreign ancestry can be anything potentially.

The Amerindian is not an entirely Siberian component though. That's why I use Dodecad K12b. But anyway, those samples look like complete outliers, probably assimilated Komis. Regular Northern Russians are less than 10% Siberian on average, certainly not 15% or anything.

What about Far East Russians ( Vladivostok, Irkutsk ) ? Are they the same genetically as those from Ural?

They can be anything, no specific profile. Siberia used to be the land of exile and deportation after the initial Cossack exploration. But in general most Siberian Russians would be Northern/Central. A North Rus/khokhol mix (immigration from Ukraine to Siberia started way before the Revolution) would produce something similar to Central Russians, I guess. Also Irkutsk oblast and the area around Lake Baikal is quite mongrelized because many Buryats live there.
