Actually that study encompassed Dalmatia, Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

It was done by French anthropologists on 17 year old kids, and it was done in highschools.

I would add Italy to my list....seeing as my hubs is equal parts Swedish and Italian. Therefore my list is as follows:

What about people like me who are of northern European blood? I don't identify as Nordic by birth place, I just say I'm Northern European by blood. The Slavs were also vikings, and I don't call myself Slavic at all. I just like the viking ages and the history behind them. Would you say I fit into that just because I have a name because I like history, but don't Identify as Nordic by birth place, but instead just say I'm "northern European" by blood(as I am)?

what you say is nonsensal, because according to your thought, all members with anglophone nicknames should identify themselves with Britain.

The reason is different, if a person uses a nordic nickname can be only because he admires nordic paganism, celtic culture etc.
It doesn't mean that he's not proud of his racial origin.

Anyway I' ve never seen an Italian who identify himself with scandinavians, on the contrary there are many northern Italians who identify themselves with celts (of central europe), and at feasts even wear like them.

Alot of people don't know who they are. Unless you were in the same country that in the last 1000 of years your family on both sides were born in as well then your usually mixed of several different ethnicity's. Some people just know the origin of their surname and claim that even if that origin was 900 years ago and their family hasn't lived in that location in 800 years. Some know a little bit through research and oral stories and some don't know anything. I see alot of this where I am at with Native Americans. Someone who clearly looks white or black but claims and embraces a Native American heritage when their last "fullblood" Native American relative was 200 years ago.

I also expected the people to be malnourished (I read that Kosova has an unemployment rate of nearly 60%) with all the complexities that that brings such as missing teeth, hunched over, etc. I couldn't be more wrong. People here are dressed in the newest fashions from around the world. In fact it seems that every other shop in the city is either a trendy clothing boutique with a name like "Arsenal" or a shoe store.

People here aren't malnourished either. I'm not a tall guy, but I've never really thought that I was extremely short either. Here, it seems that everyone is 6 feet tall, including the women. Most people have extremely good hygiene, at least it seems) and are very attractive looking. Guys, I swear to you when I say this- the women here are downright gorgeous. I'm talking HOT EUROPEAN SUPERMODELS gorgeous. Unbelievably gorgeous actually. And I'm no homo (sorry I'm not a PC type of guy) but the dudes here are some serious studs.

There is no real "look" to Albanians (People from Kosova are actually ethnic Albanians). Some have blond hair and blue eyes. Some have dark features with blue eyes. Some have dark hair and features and brown eyes. Some have a typical Russian look. Some have a Mediterranean look. But I swear to you when I say this, it seems as if the largest modeling firms in the world have set up shop in Prishtina and everyone of their models lives in this city.

You're just jealous we have more votes than the Greeks. Even though it's much more likely people have seen Greeks - and to a much larger extent - than they have seen Albanians. Besides, our good looks have been noted by foreigners, as in the excerpt from the blog I linked above.

I doubt most of the votes for ex-yu or Greece are from foreigners either btw. ;)

I wouldn't care less of how many votes you have. Neither Albanians are of my taste, nor this is true in reality . So 8 or 80, doesn't make a difference.

Unfortunately, the votes in the poll are not public, but I am pretty sure that people voted for their own, yeah, including Greeks.

I didn't say is not logical for people to vote for their own.

Its a matter of taste. I have made it more than clear to my posts, apart from this poll and way earlier, that I prefer my people, and also I think that medditeranean looking guys are the most handsome. Always based on MY taste.

So, It's not about being biased, is about what taste is all about.
(Although, if I can date Jamie Dornan, I ll vote for Irish,too :lol:)
