White genes are much more recessive than Amerindian or SSA genes, when it ends up being more dominant its bcs of chance. Think of it like this, brown eyes are dominant and blue eyes are recessive. If a blue eye parent and a brown eye parent have a child together, the chances are that their kid most likely will have brown eyes, since thats the gene thats the most dominant, however it is possible for the kid to end up with blue bcs its in his genes, however, the odds of that happening are much lower. Same applies with phenotype of race, just bcs these people happen to look white despite being mixed doesnt mean that the white genes being recessive is a myth, it just means they happened to look like that bcs of chance.

Bcs 5% isnt even close to enough to be able to impact anything, usually blood starts to impact around the 12% mark.
