Ancestry, do my results look entirely British?

My ancestry traces back entirely to Britain and Ireland on paper. I don't know where the French is coming from? Is it normal for someone of British Isles descent to show some French?

I may have some Huguenot ancestry but there's no way it's almost 25%

How long has your family been in Canada? I don't think that much French is common for fully British testers tbh, at least I've not seen it before. Gedmatch Eurogenes calculators might be useful to see if your score is normal or not.

I can trace the lines all back to Europe though so I don't know how any French Canadian ancestry could have snuck in, and I doubt this is enough to warrant suspicions of a non-paternity event.

There is a Canadian guy on this forum who has a decent chunk of French ancestry on paper, yet he doesn't get hardly any on Ancestry and gets nearly entirely British, so maybe it's wrong. Like I said Gedmatch might shed more light.

A bit inconclusive. You have low Baltic for a British person but average/above average North Atlantic. So if you have did have significant French ancestry it would probably be from NW France/Brittany. Have you done any other commercial tests? If you scored abnormal French in two it's worth believing, if not it can probably be taken with a pinch of salt.

I uploaded my raw data to a company called Living DNA. Idk how accurate they are but my results were entirely "Great Britain and Ireland" except for a small 1.9% Basque.

EDIT: I also did ydna and mtdna testing with FamilyTreeDNA but that's not helpful here
