I have a collection of police officers from Galicia and Murcia to see if there is a big difference, i have chosen police as they are more likely to be "real Spanish" than students at local colleges or football players.

Galicians are a bit lighter, but the difference is hardly substantial.

Yeah it really is similar considering the distance, like Ireland Spain has only minimal differences in phenotypes.

I don't know about other countries, but in Spain unless you go to very small isolated towns, it is practically impossible to find representative groups from a specific area.

I am not able to find notable differences that could not have been produced by chance issues of the type of season of the year in which the photo was taken, or the brightness of the environment or lighting when the photo is indoors.

In any case, the national police and the civil guards are not representative of any specific place, because in both cases, they are made up of groups of people from all parts of Spain.

The local police could be more, but even so, there are only local police in populations with a lot of population, and we would have the same problem that I mentioned before, that in these types of populations, there are people from any part of Spain equally, therefore not they are necessarily representative of a specific area.

For me are not more than random Spanish group photos.:noidea:

Homogeneous, not much to contrast.

When someone joins the police in Spain do they get sent to a certain province to carry out their work? i know at least here in the UK that the police usually have accents local to the region and it is very seldom that you get a cop moving more than 50 miles to another province.
