Laziest Europeans?

Was wondering, once in a while these threads about "who's the most" European comes out. But I've never seen one about this subject. What are the perceptions?

Many years of brutal authoritarianism, lack of incentives for everybody, everybody can be suuspicius of treason, the only way to prosper is become member of the party.

Maybe lazy is not the word, better resignation, conformism, fear... which leads to apathy and indolence.

Interestingly enough, with Cubans it happens the opposite. They tend to display their full entrepeneurial abilities once they get away from their island.

Well Southern Euros are stereotypically called lazy but they also work longest hours in EU, especially Greeks. I think its hard to tell. If I had good paying job, with good contract like in Scandinavian countries it would motivate me alot.

In my region, sons (teenagers) of german-brazilians most of times demonstrate to be very dumb, incivilized and lazy.

On the other hand, non-europeans like japanese descendants are smart on average.

i have never seen a japanese - brazilian being lazy,dumb or criminal,although i never saw a german acting like what you described here.

I wonder if we switched European populations like Germans to Sicily if they would still be as productive or just turn out to be like "Hey, it's not so bad here time to relax all day". These are places they're usually vacationing now virtually 24/7.
