After my previous post on the baloch tribe i was interested to find some dna of baloch people i managed to get one gedmatch result of a baloch. This person is apart of the same leghari tribe which are apart of the Rind baloch tribe which my previous post was about. Since this tribe has been living in south asia aka pakistan for a very long time theyve picked up a bit more south asian than baloch living in iran obviously however still impressive how largely still baloch

There has not been any large scale migration from West Asia to South Asia or Central Asia in the last few thousand years or probably from the Neolithic age while On the contrary, there has been a lot of migration in the other direction in the last thousand years.

There are baloch in sindh, Punjab, balochistan in Pakistan, and in Sistan and Baluchestan in Iran. And some also in Afghanistan

They’re definitely not lol. It’s about as sure that the turks came from Central Asia to Turkey as it is the baloch came from Kurdistan/Syria. Just FYI if that was even remotely true on 23andme they’d get central Asian, but if u check they’re dna tests they get anywhere from 10-45% west Asian/iranian Caucasian and Mesopotamian I’ll try and share one

When I say west Arab I mean Levantine reigon from Lebanon Israel Jordan Palestine Syria. Secondly baloch isn’t a category in 23andme any baloch that has taken 23andme or ancestrydna has gotten a roughly half west Asian half south Asian split on 23andme and 23andme doesn’t specify what the South Asian is all it says is Pakistan etc. Thirdly when I mean west Asian I mean the large category is west Asian and North African the smaller sub category is Arab and Levantine but they’re still under the larger west Asia and North Africa category is what I was trying to say

This is what Davidski says. They lack EEF and also looks like migrants from Iran. Brahui are even older group matching Dravidians in India. My kits matches some of the brahui and baluchis pretty big

They're obviously in large part the descendants of recent migrants from Iran. I'm not saying they don't have any ancestry from the Mergarh people, but that's likely to be a minor component of their genomes.

Brahuis are basically the same. And yeah, I know they're Dravidians, but I don't think they have much in common with their Dravidian ancestors anymore. They just look like more ASI-shifted Balochis who speak Dravidian.

They're obviously in large part the descendants of recent migrants from Iran. I'm not saying they don't have any ancestry from the Mergarh people, but that's likely to be a minor component of their genomes.

Brahuis are basically the same. And yeah, I know they're Dravidians, but I don't think they have much in common with their Dravidian ancestors anymore. They just look like more ASI-shifted Balochis who speak Dravidian.

Yeah mate but as u said they have nothing to do with each other two different populations with two different histories and ancestral contribution dna wise. Baloch are the most western population on the south Asian plateau including Afghanistan. If u talk about baloch from iran then it would be even more western however I don’t have any gedmatch kits from baloch from iran.
