So I tried the Vahaduo k13 ancient calculator, and one of the ancient samples that was genetically closest to me was
Kazakhstan_GoldenHordeEuro,23.36,53.03,9.48,4.37,3 .84,2.31,0.93,0.74,0.30,0.94,0.22,0.48,0.00
I tried comparing that sample to modern samples, and apparently it is closest to Russians form Pskov, Lithuanians, and Belarussians. When I try the "single" calculator, it shows:
Target: Kazakhstan_GoldenHordeEuro
Distance: 2.1155% / 2.11552246
81.8 Latvian
8.6 Russian_Tver-Yaroslavl
6.2 Samaritan
3.0 Moroccan_South
0.4 Dai
So it seems like this "Kazakhstan_GoldenHordeEuro" sample doesn't have any connection to Kazakhstan, or the Golden Horde. What does it actually refer to? A European who died fighting against the Golden Horde in Kazakhstan?
