View Full Version : Which genetic differences are more significant?

1) Between the races?

Or:

2) Between the sexes?

So basically, are Europeans and Africans (regardless of gender) more different, or are men and women (regardless of race) more different?

=====

For example this guy thinks that Y chromosome makes a big difference and genetic differences are more significant between the genders:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQcgD5DpVlQ#t=5m27s - the relevant part starts at 5 minutes 27 seconds of the video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQcgD5DpVlQ

There is also for example this study "The Role of the Y Chromosome in Brain Function" (not sure if there are more recent studies about it):

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20396406/

^^^ Quote: "In mammals, sex differences are evident in many aspects of brain development, brain function and behaviour."

I lean to the idea that white men have more in common with black men than they do with white women (who come from Venus, not Mars):

For example this Black guy from the videos below integrates among Polish men just perfectly:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKrfTzXE7vc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1slW2ikntw

Another example when a Black guy thinks more like Polish men, than a Polish woman (journalist):

I could also ask - "are you more racist or more sexist, or both, or neither" ???

Saying that men and women (regardless of race) have more different brains than White males and Asian males (for example) is being genophobic? Why exactly?

So you think that Africa is farther away from Europe than Venus is from Mars, duh...

From my experience among women lesbians and bisexuals have the most male-like brains.

I don't know, you tell me.

From my experience among women lesbians and bisexuals have the most male-like brains.
It's not only your experience but if I remember correctly, studies also confirm that on average they have more masculine brains and behavior than heterosexual women. (I read a book about this years ago, so I'm not really sure about it anymore)

I'd say genetic differences between the races are more significant, although men are clearly superior to women.
Superior in what? It depends. Certainly, women are superior at bearing a child. I do not think it make sense to compare them like that. The two sexes are supposed to complement each other.

Scientists at the Stockholm Brain Institute in Sweden report in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA that gay men and straight women share similar traits—most notably in the size of their brains and the activity of the amygdala—an area of the brain tied to emotion, anxiety and aggression. The same is true for heterosexual men and lesbians.

They found that in gay men and women, the blood flowed to areas involved in fear and anxiety, whereas in straight men and lesbians it tended to flow to pockets linked to aggression.

I agree with the article that gayness is biologically determined, not learned behavior.

There may be more gays today than 50 years ago, but that doesn't refute the idea that it's biological. Hormones (and biology) can be affected by microplastics and chemicals that are more abundant in the modern world than in the past: https://www.npr.org/2011/03/02/134196209/study-most-plastics-leach-hormone-like-chemicals

^^^ I posted that also to show that bisexual people are more numerous than homosexual.

But there is much less attention to bisexualism in scientific studies than to homosexualism.

Bisexuality (or the lack of it) is also influenced by hormone exposure: https://www.medicaldaily.com/bisexuality-may-start-during-pregnancy-children-mothers-given-hormone-more-414865
