Seeing some photos of Slovaks it seems that they seem to be in a mid point phenotypically between Scandinavia/Baltics and the southern Balkans.

I think, they are a bit closer to Bulgarians, since the features of both people are Eastern European. Ovibiously, the Slovaks are lighter on average.

I think, the closest people to Slovaks are the Poles, Rusyns and the Hungarians.

Absolutely, interesting how they are quite a bit different to Czechs who i would mark down as a bit closer to Danes.

The Slovaks and Hungarian lived together at centuries, so the higher overlap with us than the Czechs are not so suprising.

In contrast, the Czechs historically lived together with the Germans (just like the Slovaks with us), for this reason there is significant overlap between Czechs and Germans.

True, though they are still light according to this map comparing well with Britain and the Dutch/German speaking countries:

I'm not lazy to provide you scientific data.

Pigmentation is only half the issue – the Balts are brachycephalic people, which is the opposite of Scandinavians.

Estonians are dissimilar from Balts even there.

There's a lot of even dolichocephalic Balts though too.

Yes, but there is a concept of 'Average'.
