The delta of the river Ebre and surroundings was the last place to become Catalonia and was an area of important Muslim settlement.
However, this region (Spanish_Terres_de_l'Ebre) actually has very low north African ancestry and instead stands out, compared to the rest of the Catalan regions, for its low Indo-European and high middle eastern-like ancestry.
