Well, both, though I might be basing this call on the grounds that my Irish side comes from Donegal and most were either dark or mousy haired.

more the 2nd than the 1st one.

Light skin+ light eyes + dark hair or red hair was always a more estereotypical image of Irish people than blonde people, at least for me.

The first group comes to mind first, but i do often think about the Black Irish, i just think of them as more rare... but i am not sure if that is true.

Edit: but I already know that stereotypes do not correspond to reality, at least not always.

Both, but the 1st one being 80 % of cases, versus the 2nd one @20%.

I don't follow the cliché, rather reality, what I've seen in person.

Black Irish? Well, I guess out of the second picture only Andrea fits that description. In which case, yeah, rather uncommon, dark hair by itself? Not at all. You spot an Irish family with a big brood of kids, they'll display almost every hair colour known to man.

I think of both, and I could add a third group of blondes with blue eyes. Stereotypes die hard when you research things.

Irish racial Characteristics:

Pie-faced, neckless, bandy-legged sots who almost never fuck. Ignorant and superstitious, they are in utter thrall to the vile, conniving priests of their dark and barbarous religion. Their women have their legs on upside down and no man in the country eats anything but potatoes, and only eats them when has out of strong drink. The principal delights of the Irish are in quarreling and fighting and killing each other with bombs. They can be trained to do nothing useful that a dray horse can't accomplish in half the time, and they spew out a continuous stream of mumbles and grunts which they fancy to be "poems." They sell their children for whiskey.

Good Points:
Many Irish are dead.

Proper Forms of Address:
Bogmouth, peat-face, Mr. Potato Head, nun-buns, dumb Mick.

An Anecdote Illustrating Something of the Irish Character:
There once was an Irishman who got so drunk while he was in Rome that he kissed his wife and beat the Pope's foot to a pulp with a coal shovel.
