Well something told me that they were not French, N Italy has a good number of lighter types though this lot does seem fairly light even for this region, i had to rule out Slovenia or Austria because they were too southern shifted for those countries.

Indeed but you don't find types like the second girl from the right or the second boy also from the right north of the Alps. The heterogeneity of the group screams Italian imo.

I think nasal prominence is a bit strong for France, something about the common look in the photo suggested somewhere more eastern than France.
