Well genetically all Irish regions are close and Dublin has been a magnet for people from all corners of Ireland for generations. Dublin is where I was born for instance. Also all of the Isles are connected genetically which is why there is a continuous cluster and no separation. This is a continuum with Northwestern Europe with Southeast England closer to continental populations like the South Dutch and Belgians. The fact that there is no separate cluster shows that there has been always some level of admixture between all these populations. East coast of Ireland is the closest to British areas which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Genetics usually mirrors geography except where there have been genetic barriers in the past.

Typical Irish. Corded Nordid+North Atlantid. That straight nose is typically Irish as well.

I really don't understand how one look can be English or another Irish. This is her brother who is a TD.

Her brother looks more English but you still see the Irish influences around the eyes, i think what distinguishes the Irish from the English, especially the southern English is that the former have more defined cheekbones, a face that doesnt look as rectangular.

Yes I agree that the Irish have more defined cheekbones. It is noticeable especially in women.

Because, Ireland was traditionally a Celtic stronghold and while celtic is just a culture that is not as true for Germanic. Yeah, Anglo-Saxon is about 1% of Ireland so kelto-saxon would logically be a minority unlike John Wayne or Maureen O'Hara look a likes.

For instance, one can say Catherine Zeta-Jones can pass as 'black Irish' but would not be typical and she is not even a bit Germanic looking which only compounds the problem.

Traditionally, most Germanic admixture mostly came from watered downed non-saxon Scandinavian sources from Normans and perhaps scots or whatnot.

I don't agree with the Celtic vs Germanic stuff. The Irish for instance aren't Celtic genetically. All Northwestern Europeans are more defined by Bronze Age above all else which is why they cluster together. Irish have a high amount of Steppe which is more a factor than something like Celtic. Irish are Celtic by language but in a genetic sense the Celtic vs Germanic is very overblown for Northwestern European populations.

Funny isn't it? Irish being mistaken for Slavics. My brother when he was in Croatia, mentioned that a few of the locals asked him if he was Croatian.

She looks Brunn imo.

Keltic Nordid with Alpine influence. She certainly does not look more English than she does Irish to me.
