Dahoud was born in Amuda, a town in Syria close to the Turkish border. He was taken to Germany by his family in 1996.

Looks Kurdish to me rather than Turkish

Thick Arabic/Semitic lips. And not only that. He has more Semitic facial features around his nasal and oral cavities. Also the area between and around his eyes is very 'southern'. Doesn't look Turkic, neither Kurdic.

He is a kurd I think

his DNA results are public (myheritage) and were mostly West Asian instead of Middle Eastern which makes me believe he's Kurdish. His homecity is 95% Kurdish.

Most likely an Assyrian or an Arab. Amuda was an Assyrian and Armenian village. Most of those Assyrians fled Amuda. His family left Amuda in 1996. By that time there were still a lot Assyrians in Amuda.

In July 2017 the 90-year old Mor Elias Church was restored and reopened in the city. As of 2017 only one Assyrian family remains in Amuda

In 2004 the population was 26,821, 95% of the inhabitants in the town are Kurds and the rest being Arabs and Assyrians

I think he has some Assyrian/Arabic roots though..

to be fair that's not his Instagram.

Although i still think he's a Kurd. Also you're overexaggerating his foreign features imo.

Yes maybe he's like those Mhallami type who live around the Syrian Turkish border. They seem to be Assyrian/arab/kurdish mix genetically. He does resemble them.

In a video on youtube he says that he thinks that he has some relatives in Egypt, but he doesn't elaborate any further. I am sure an unmixed Kurd would never say that.

He is clearly mixed with the Semitic people.

I am almost certain his results will be very atypical for a Kurdish average.

it was Myheritage only. Something like:

80% West Asian
13% Middle Eastern
5% Northwestern European
2% rest

Syrian Arabs usually have much higher Middle eastern and lower West Asian.

Thank you very much. His DNA results look more 'Kurdish' than results of some other Kurds, lol. I tried to find other Kurdish MyHeritage results on internet and the results are so diverse.

I found a 'Sorani/Feyli Kurd' and her results look similar to Dahouds results. And she admitted (with her 11% Middle Eastern ancestry) that a grandfather on her fathers side was an Arab. :eusa_shifty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSLMe07_xNA

I am starting to believe that more Kurds are mixed with the Arabs and Turks than I thought.

The dude is a Kurd (but a little bit mixed).

Results from another Kurdish girl from Southern Kurdistan. She looks less mixed than Dahoud and the previous Sorani/Feyli Kurd.
