Earlier on I was watching the rugby match between Argentina and Australia, played in Mendoza, and the crowd struck me as being barely if at all lighter/more Euro than most people in Cundinamarca. (Btw, after leading through most of the match, Argentina slipped badly in the last 15-20 mins and lost 26-41 :().

Veo en esas fotos una mezcla de blancos y mestizos.
Pasarian facilmente (incluso grupalmente) entre la poblacion general de los Andes Venezolanos. Y tambien pasarian facilmente entre la gente Venezolana de clase media para arriba de las grandes ciudades Venezolanas fuera de los Andes.

No, but they are surely more similar to Northern than Southern Mexicans, aren't they? Also, yes I agree they are not the super-Euro portenos many people have in mind when they think of Argentines.

Checking the pics better... some them are very mixed and could even pass as regular Venezuelans from any Venezuelan region and social class. Not only in the Venezuelan Andes or among middle to upper class Venezuelan people.

A mea culpa: looking at more photos of Argentine crowds, although on the whole they are certainly too European to be mistaken for Colombians and Venezuelans (aside maybe from some wealthier pockets of the big cities in both countries), nevertheless most individually could pass reasonably well apart from the rather small number of blondish/"gringoish" types.

No lo creo. La mezcla Euro es muy alta para que sean colombianos comunes.
Y incluso si se tratara de bogotanos o paisas de clase media-alta, los fenotipos no cuadrarían.

En que sentido?
En que el input europeo se ve más diverso que en Colombia, donde es casi exclusivamente ibérico.
Lo mismo aplica para el aporte amerindio, que en Colombia es sobre todo centralid/amazonid, y en las fotos es más andid/patagonid.
